Women’s Health

The doctors at Brighton Beach Medical Centre all have a special interest in Women's Health.

Regular assessments are important for women’s health. Cervical cancer and precancerous changes of the cervix are common problems that should be assessed and treated early. Approximately one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime so breast exams should be a part of your overall health plan.

All of our doctors at the centre perform Pap smears and breast checks. We also have a nurse Vickey, who is a registered Pap smear provider. Bookings can be made via reception for Vickey and with our doctors.

Other areas of Women's Health where care is provided include:

  • Antenatal care
  • Postnatal care
  • Breast checks
  • Menopause
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy
  • Menstrual problems
  • Ovarian problems e.g. polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovarian cysts
  • Sexually transmitted infections
  • Osteoporosis
  • Urinary incontinence

If you are a woman and have any questions or need advice, make an appointment to see your doctor at Brighton Beach Medical Centre.
